Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology – NEW
Anthropology is a broad, holistic field that seeks to understand people, from earliest times to the present. An online Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology will open you to opportunities in government, private business, community organizations, education, health organizations, research institutions and the media. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of anthropologists is projected to grow 19% through 2022, faster than the average for all occupations.
The WIU Online B.A. in Anthropology program provides students with a holistic education, which is the basis of anthropology itself. We address social and cultural consequences from a worldwide perspective. You have the opportunity to concentrate your coursework in one of four major subfields: cultural anthropology, archaeology, biological anthropology and linguistics. You can also pursue a focus in an interdisciplinary track with another major or minor. Of the 120 credits you need to graduate, you must earn 33 credits in anthropology coursework.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion Program
The RN-BSN Completion Program is completely online and is for nurses who have an Associates Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing and want to get a Bachelors in Nursing. RNs who have graduated from a state-approved nursing program will receive 30 semester hours of advanced placement credit if they graduated from their initial program within the past 5 years, or have maintained continuous employment in nursing, or have continuing education in nursing, and successfully complete the first 9 credits in the RN-BSN Completion Program with a C+ or better.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is available to complete entirely online. Take courses in the traditional face-to-face format when your schedule allows. Take online courses when you need the flexibility. Either way, you’ll have the same quality curriculum and the same great faculty.
Master of Science – Instructional Design Technology
The Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology is designed to prepare educational technology specialists, graphic designers, educational technologists, trainers in industry and business, and classroom teachers to develop, produce, and evaluate instructional and training materials to meet their educational needs and lifestyles.

National Fire Academy Curriculum for Fire Fighters
Western Illinois University participates in the National Fire AcademyвЂ™s (NFA) Fire and Emergency Services for Higher Education curriculum. The curriculum is a program of 13 fire-related, upper division courses that were designed by the NFA. Members of the fire service may choose to take one or any number of these distance courses or earn a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university without losing time on the job while enhancing their professional growth.
