You will develop the skills and knowledge required for employment within aviation management. The program is designed to provide you with the core skills needed for lifelong learning in the constantly changing aviation industry. To aid in professional learning you can elect to study second and third year courses online. In your final year you will have the opportunity to undertake a short research project which can be sponsored by an organisation or individual within the industry.

Students electing to undertake the training management major will be skilled in the foundations of educational practice. It will include the ability to critically review and develop training curricula appropriate to aviation personnel. Graduates will also be able to effectively develop and manage training and assessment approaches.

Management

You ll learn about short to long term planning strategies and develop the coordination skills needed to work in airline operations and supporting industries. As well as learning how to successfully manage personnel from the recruitment stage through to career planning. You ll study courses such as Economics in Aviation, International Aviation and Leadership in Aviation.

Training management

You ll learn about developing and reviewing training programs for aviation personnel. As a graduate, you ll be able to effectively develop and manage appropriate training and assessment approaches. A sampling of courses in the program include Expertise Development, Managing the Learning Organisation and Vocational Assessment.
